Just got a glimpse of the newest mock up of the MySahana website yesterday! It’s getting so close to what I had imagined. Some parts of it are even better than I had imagined! I’m going for a very user-friendly, casual, warm site that people can feel very comfortable going to. I’m really excited and I hope you will be too when you see it! So far the focus group seems to have given a very positive reaction to it so I’m hoping with some more tweaking and detailing, we should be ready to go in a few weeks.
I know this sounds so cryptic. I wish I could show you what I’m talking about! But not quite yet.
This must be what Food Network people feel like. Eating a dish they know you can’t taste yet!
I had a lot of fun looking for design ideas on different websites and reading up on tips and suggestions for web design. But wow is web development hard! My friend has very generously offered to work on this website as a side project. I never really knew what it takes to create a website. As a non-engineering person, I take all of this technology completely for granted! Like, even typing this blog in the wordpress blog template…probably took WordPress weeks or months to get this template up, functional, and looking the way they like it!
With regards to a website launch, the next big piece of research is when is the right time to launch. Is there a specific day? Specific time of day? How do you get the word out? I know Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. But how early do you start the build up?
If you have any ideas, leave me a message on Facebook or Twitter, email me or leave a comment below and let me know!
